Canada Post and the potential for a strike

Currently (as of June 12th) Canada Post is in a “will they or won’t they?” strike position. It’s hard to know what to do. We investigated other shipping methods to avoid this uncertainty but bedding is heavy so it really wasn’t financially feasible outside of Vancouver itself. We’re still looking into adding alternate options to our site for those of you willing to pay the premium. We do have a solution of sorts, though we admit it’s not ideal. At checkout you can pay for shipping and then choose to have us keep your completed order aside at the store until after the threat of a strike has passed. Or you can pay for shipping and have us ship your completed order as soon as it’s ready, regardless of the possibility of a strike – this may mean your package gets stuck in transit until the strike ends. Remember that in many cases we are making at least part of your order and because nothing will be leaving until everything is ready, by then this whole situation may be resolved. Rest assured, we will hold all packages and not ship anything if the strike ACTUALLY starts. At any point before your order is shipped, if you want to change your mind about your choice just get in touch with us at the store.

Orders to be shipped within Canada or to the US are sent by Canada Post. The Canada Post shipping calculator is linked to our site and as part of the checkout process can will show you the shipping costs based on the size and destination of your order.

If you plan to buy a few items but they aren’t all currently in-stock right now, you can buy some of the items on backorder and we will wait to ship everything together once it is all ready. If you place multiple orders and would like them shipped together, please contact us to make arrangements.

Have you already placed an order for in-store pickup but now would like to have it shipped instead? Just call or email us to make arrangements.

We make all of our bedding ourselves by hand, so please allow around 4-5 weeks for us to prepare your order for shipping. Once your order is completed, we will ship your items via Canada Post and provide a tracking number, or if you opted for in-store pickup, we will email you to let you know when your order is ready – please wait to hear from us before making a trip to the store. To track a package at anytime, visit your account page and view the order. At the top of the next screen you will see a link to click in order to track your shipment.

Tariffs & orders from the USA

Any tariffs, taxes or duties levied by the United States government upon import are beyond our control and are sole the responsibility of the individual placing the order. If you have a current in-process order with us and do not wish to pay the tariffs, please get in touch with us immediately so that we can cancel your order for a refund. We are unable extend this offer for any orders that have already shipped.
